Draftkings UFC 282 - Blachowicz vs. Ankalaev MMA - Dec 10 2022

Its been a while since I posted UFC based data so I wanted to put this out here and see whose interested. My NFL article will also be up later today so check back in with me on twitter!

Here I am looking top down and seeing which fighters look like they can do some damage at lower ownership. Paddy is highest but right below him, I see a few fighters that may give us a lesser owned high scoring outcome.

Also noticing fight number 6 (Jairzinho and Daukaus has some decent potential to end in a finish with a decently high pace expected.

Couple things here that I will break down. First, my signature chart where I look at odds vs salary. Plessis is likely going to be my top play today. The green dots indicate that the fighter is underowned and above the line means there is some value in that player vs the odds of success. The table on the right just measure how high the player is from the value line and showing how optimal that player is.

Bottom left is to get an idea of how folks are projecting and bottom right gives an idea of fighters who may be underowned in a different view.

Expanding the scatter plot, we can see that two fighters will be in most lineups - Paddy and Ankalaev (main event). Perhaps you can succeed with both or find your pivot away from at least one of the two.

Some fights can get to the result you want by volume alone. If I were to pick a fight to lock into every lineup aside from Plessis, it would be fight number 6 as mentioned before. I dont know what side I will take but if betting, "Fight doesnt go to decision" is how I would lean here.

I highlighted the plays that are taking their fights on short notice. Aside from that, streaky fighters and high value are ideal. Seems that if Daukaus wins, he could potentially end up highest scorer on todays slate so I'll definitely keep that in mind. Good luck!
