PGA Draftkings - Charles Schwab Challenge - May 24 2022

Updated: May 25, 2022

I hope you had a chance to read my previous article, reviewing results from the PGA Championship. We are going to jump right in and start highlighting some folks who make the list for player pools using the same methods.

What I have learned about the course: Tee to green, putting and some good approach play are prolly the main things to get right for a golfer who wins this week. We also expect some weather at least some of the time. Thursday morning is more favorable than the afternoon as of now. Most advantages are wiped out come Friday.

First we can see where the value is per the odds. I'm surprised folks are coming down on Scheffler early on. This looks to be a Spieth course so perhaps that is setting him up to be last weeks Rory. I am showing 7 top 10s here in the last 10 years, so its hard to deny that.

As far as those who thrive in putting and T2G stats, some names like Max Homa and Sam Burns start to surface after a good week last week. Even Scheffler is up there, but priced up there too. I still want to fade him if hes over a certain threshold in ownership and that could end up costly as early as this week so yolo there.

Updated:

There are several in the 7k range that start to pop. I will spend the next few hours thinking about how to construct a lineup from here using T2G and putters.

The leverage chart is back this week, although premature for a Tuesday night. I like building from this view because of my leverage tendencies. Morikawa has been kinda not doing much lately but starts looking like a play to potentially get to this week. We will see you Wednesday night with more data to sift through.

Optimal percentages

Good luck!
