PGA RBC Heritage - Draftkings Late Showdown Rd 2 - April 15 2022

Yesterday's draftkings contests for showdown were a disaster for me as I wanted to go Zach Johnson without realizing he was gonna withdraw on me after leveraging towards him, but thats all part of the game. Gonna win and lose some, but hopefully the wins are worth the losses when they hit.

Looking at the same sheet two ways because of the amount of players to go through. First look is at the ceilings for the players:

Cameron Young killed it day 1 and it wasnt really close. I dont believe that to be a fluke as he has played well this season in general. He may end up popular the next 3 rounds though. So as I look at top leverage from top ceilings, it appears that my favorite play on the slate is going to be Adam Long. Will reverse this view to show the top leverage plays to see who else may be of interest this afternoon.

Adam Long has typically played better in rd 2 vs rd 1 which leans me to him. Another name who is interesting for the first time ever for me -is Hank Lebioda. Seems he played his rd 1 well from a strokes gained perspective. He is also showing a decent optimal percentage for his ownership projection. Doing one more sort on Rd 2 Scoring.

Leverage is a combination of odds vs projected ownership. Odds are tied to their current position and therefore someone with good odds to finish well as of now with low ownership will show high leverage. In the case of some folks like Justin Thomas, he finished poorly rd 1 and his odds are low. However he does have a high ceiling and bounce back potential similar to last week. That is hurting his leverage score because he may approach 30% ownership since everyone saw the same thing. If you want to pivot somewhere, an interesting name I havent said all week is Jordan Spieth, who is projecting half the ownership. He shot -2 under yesterday and has similar potential. Not saying its the best move, but its an intruiging one.
